Engineering K-12 Resource Center: A website seeking to serve as a guide/resource for both pre-college students and K-12 educators. The website is put forth by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), the professional society for engineering educators (i.e., college professors).

Engineering Technologists and Technicians – An online brochure describing the roles and functions of engineering technologists and technicians; offered by the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS).

Occupational Outlook Handbook: Engineering TechniciansThe Occupation Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information issued every two years by the US Dept of Labor. The Handbook describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations, including for Engineering Technicians. [Note: Informative, but as a government publication, it is rather dryly written.] 

Which Path Will You Take? – An online brochure contrasting engineering versus engineering technology programs and careers opportunities. Presented in the context of mechanical engineering, but equally applicable to other engineering disciplines. Offered by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Studying Engineering Technology: A Blueprint for Success: An "Introduction to Engineering Technology" textbook that seeks to help students achieve success in engineering technology studies. Authored by Dr. Stephen Cheshier, a distinguished engineering technology educator with 35 years of experience. List price of $23.
 

Engineering Technology-focused organizations:

American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET) - The national professional society for engineering technicians and technologists in all engineering disciplines.

National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) – Offers two certification programs – Technician certification in more than 30 specialty areas and Technologist certification for holders of Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Technology from ABET-accredited schools. NICET itself is a non-profit division of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

Tau Alpha Pi Association – The academic honor society for Engineering Technology students. Maintains chapters at approximately 100 colleges.
